It's October yyyeeeaaahhhh! That means this deployment is almost over. This one has felt like the longest one.
Not that I need anything more to tackle, I get a crazy idea. With the help of others you know the just do it's or you should's. I get the crazy idea to paint the living room. Instead of testing the paint on a board and putting it up on the wall. I go ahead and just test it out on the wall. Using as many cans of different color paint I can find in the garage. Who has time to go to Home Depot or think about it at 9 p.m..
The more I thought about it the more I didn't want to paint (really it was the next day). Why? Because if I paint the living room I would have to paint the kitchen and dining area also. The walls leading into those rooms are continuing walls and don't meet in a corner. Painting three areas wasn't really what I felt like doing.
(Lately I haven't felt like much of anything. Of course it's so like me. I will put things off till the last minute. Then when he's almost here I'll be running around like a chicken without a head. But then again I think I work better under pressure.)
Now the added pressure to paint the walls. I had already thrown seven different colors on it. Thank God someone told me you could just call the maintenance line and ask for touch up paint. They delivered a small can of touch up paint to my door. I fixed the mess I made and took that crazy idea of painting out of my head. Don't get me wrong I love color especially red. But I'm trying to change the decor a little step at a time. I would love to go for a more calming /less is more look. So far the only less is the wall color. This spring I would love to tackle white slipcovers for the sofas. Crazy I know. For now the wall is back to Iris (aka beige to exciting I know).
All is good for now until I step into my friend and neighbor's house and see their colored walls. But I'm embracing the Iris and the less part :)
