The whole day I had mixed emotions. I'm not new to this rodeo so I know what to expect. So I did what every wife who's been here before does. We put on that brave face and say everything will be fine. Making sure not to show anything else. Don't want to make anyone worry about anything. The HMIC needs to know everything is good while he is away. The kids need to know that mom is not worried, so they don't have to be either. Sure we have our weak moments but we have them in private. When no one is around and only for a few seconds. Then we pull ourselves together and continue what we were doing.
Monday was the day the HMIC deployed. He was still trying to do things till the last minute. So here is what we saw.
Bags ready to go. With all their belongings for there time away.
Loading there bags.
Saying good-bye.
Walking to the bus. Which will take them to go wait for their plane.
The bus is ready to go.
The Pre-Teen trying to be strong and hold it together.
Then they were gone just like that. So now our journey beings!!!
